Overview

This position will support a wide range of Quality Assurance and Applications tasking as they specifically relate to the Life Cycle Services contract(s). Assignments may require travel to Life Cycle Homeport offices. This position is located at the Surface Ship Support Center/CROF in Brunswick, Maine.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Supervise and provide project support of Lifecycle database and BMDA CAD development environments.

  • Administer BMDA labor contract, process and verify employee time and attendance records.

  • Work with a team/independently to maintain and enhance databases as needed to improve reporting capabilities and process efficiencies.

  • Ensure technology needs of the Lifecycle organization are identified and met. This includes overseeing the issuance, tracking, and budgeting of technology assets including laptops, mobile devices, and advanced imaging technologies.

  • Participate in various special projects and process improvement initiatives.

  • Support DDG 51 and DDG 1000 class contract related efforts through various metrics, data mining, and reporting.

  • Communicate quality metrics, initiatives, and issues with senior leadership and customers.



Responsibilities


  • BS degree in a technical field, or BIW graduate apprentice is preferred.

  • 3 - 5 years of Design, Engineering, or IT experience is required.

  • This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire. Qualifications


  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Experience with SQL, Python, HTML, VBA, or any similar programming language is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Tableau and JIRA software is preferred.

  • Operational waterfront liaison or manufacturing experience is preferred.

  • Motivated with proven ability to work independently.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop/implement cost effective solutions.
