Equipment Operator - Military Veterans

One of the world's largest plastics, chemical and refining companies and a member of the S&P 500 is looking for several Operators in their Edison, New Jersey location. This organization manufactures products at 55 sites in 17 countries. Their products and technologies are used to make items that improve the quality of life for people around the world including packaging, electronics, automotive parts, home furnishings, construction materials and biofuels.

This role involves monitoring and operating plant process equipment in manufacturing, focusing on evaluating unit operating status and troubleshooting processes and equipment to enhance unit reliability and quality production. You will document operating parameters, communicate within and outside the department, and monitor maintenance activities while performing minor maintenance.

This position reports to a production supervisor and receives support from process specialists, maintenance, and technical personnel, it requires joining the Emergency Response Team and prioritizing personal safety, co-worker safety, and a safe work environment in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. Adherence to company's procedures, standards, and specifications is crucial, and you will take a personal leadership role in daily activities, task planning, incident investigations, and work performance aligned with company's key focus areas of safety, environmental, quality, reliability, and cost of operation.

Additionally, the role entails gaining and maintaining process knowledge to effectively operate the unit and detect unusual process conditions, utilizing this knowledge for troubleshooting and issue resolution.

This is a Dupont schedule so you must be open to rotating days and nights. Compensation grows quickly once you are trained and have completed all training requirements. With overtime you'll have an opportunity to make $75 - $90K in year one. They also offer a bonus program, benefits, and 401k.
