Technical Expert, Deep Mill Level Zone (DMLZ) Development - Military Veterans

Advise Deep Mill Level Zone (DMLZ) mine operation General Superintendent in controlling manpower, equipment resources and costs as well as discuss technical issues to achieve development (ventilation, undercut preparation and production at all areas) meters and waste tons hauling target in a safe and cooperative environment.

Additional Responsibilities:


  1. Provide constructive feedback and advice to subordinate on safety, health and industrial hygiene performance for DMLZ areas to ensure every activity is performed safely according to the procedure. 

  2. Accountable for mining operation, ground control, excavation and working condition for all designated areas in the DMLZ mine, in order to control the activities in the operating area.

  3. Critically reviews actual developments with emphasis in quality control such as over break as well as compliance to scheduled sequence/development priority to ensure activities are done by schedule with high quality deliverables.

  4. Suggest and lead required improvement initiative to improve resources' productivity.

  5. Communicate with department on a regular basis in order to control manpower and equipment resource to achieve meter development, caving preparation and percentage utilization of underground equipment.

  6. Assist in the development of effective plans to achieve agreed targets to develop catch-up plans where required.

  7. Communicate with department's manpower to develop a motivated workforce through counseling, discipline and training development.

Qualifications


  • Postsecondary Mining Education/Associates Degree in Mining with twelve (12) years of experience in Underground Mining practices and supervision or High School Diploma with fifteen (15) years of experience in Underground Mining practices and supervision.

  • Strong English skills, both oral and written.

  • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.
