Responsibilities

About the role:

The Financial Analyst - Corporate Finance will perform analysis of moderate to complex financial information and prepare reports to assist management in making long-term and short-term decisions in support of secured funding transactions.

In this role, you will:

  • Organize and assist with functions of the financing transactions
  • Assist with the assessment of economic, market, and internal conditions to determine appropriate structure for each transaction
  • Analyze competitor's financing opportunities, financial statements, and collateral performance
  • Develop ad-hoc analysis as directed by management
  • Assist management with developing company presentations
  • Assist with coordination of financing transaction operational audits with internal personnel and company lenders
  • Act as company point person
  • Assist with the implementation of regulatory reform
  • Develop and run cashflow models, database management, and data-mining
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?
  • Knowledge of capital markets
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Microsoft Power BI, and other query tools including SQL
  • Knowledge of modeling financial information, including forecasting
  • Ability to interpret legal documents related to complex financial transactions
  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good skills in spreadsheet modeling
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Power Point and Microsoft Office skills
  • Quantitative skills
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Finance or Business related degree preferred
  • 0-2 years advanced knowledge and ability in performing financial analysis functions or prior experience in corporate finance, treasury, capital markets, or banking preferred

OUR BUSINESS & OUR HISTORY

GM Financial was founded as AmeriCredit in September 1992 and opened its first branch office in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 1, 2010, AmeriCredit Corp. was acquired by General Motors Company and renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial). In 2011, GM Financial acquired FinanciaLinx to serve GM dealers and customers throughout Canada.  In November 2012, GM Financial announced the acquisition of Ally Financial Inc.’s international operations. The majority of those acquisitions were finalized in 2013, with the remaining market, a 35 percent equity interest in a joint venture in China, acquired in January 2015.  In October 2017, GM Financial completed the sale of its European financial subsidiaries and branches as part of General Motors’ sale of the Opel and Vauxhall businesses to Peugeot S.A.

 

GM Financial provides auto finance solutions to 14,000 dealers worldwide, with earning assets of $93 billion at September 30, 2018.
