Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary This is a full-time research technician position to work on research developing and evaluating digital innovations for increasing access to evidence-based intervention for eating disorders. Job Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities Participates in planning and conduct of research studies including participant recruitment and retention. Administers tests, interviews, and/or questionnaires following protocols and manages data and processes responses, including preparing relevant tables and charts. Assists with developing behavioral intervention content and liaising with industry partners. Assists with coordinating undergraduate research assistants and staff and plans and attends meetings. Performs other duties as assigned, including communication with the IRB, literature searches, gathering information, sponsor reporting, and assistance with grant application and manuscript preparation. Working Conditions This position may require some infrequent travel across the St. Louis area for recruitment activities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in psychology or a related field Prior research experience in a clinical psychology research lab, though relevant coursework or research in related fields might count towards experience. Two years of clinical psychology research experience, such as experience with: participant recruitment and enrollment of clinical and vulnerable populations; quantitative and qualitative data collection, coding, and analyses; coordinating with various members of a study team (e.g. research staff, trainees, and investigators); maintaining qualitative and/or quantitative research databases; assisting with IRB documentation and compliance; assisting with annual progress report preparation for grant-funded research Experience with Qualtrics Experience with SPSS and/or R statistical programs and Excel Experience with conducting interviews with research participants Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Excellent attention to detail Required Qualifications Bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience in a laboratory or research setting. Some positions may require a Master's degree due to experience/knowledge required of research area. Grade R06-H Salary Range $16.59 - $25.92 / Hourly The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
