Your Job

The Production Shift Manager ETCH manages a team of Engineers, Maintenance- and Process- Technicians on shift in a 24x7 production environment. He/She owns Quality, Quantity, Safety and Cost of the assigned shift.

In detail he/she primarily:


  • owns all Production KPIs like cycle time, uptime, run path, yield, on-time-delivery, safety and cost on shift level

  • manages WIP, scheduling of corrective and preventive maintenance and parts

  • owns resource planning (employees, machine, material, method)

  • responsible to form and develop a strong shift team, drive continuous improvement within and across shifts

  • manages interfaces across departments like Production Control and other Modules, Engineering groups in day shift and Manufacturing Excellence group

  • is responsible for safety topics in his/her area

  • ensures reporting for passdowns, module meetings and if necessary, tasks forces at operational level

  • acts as Manager on duty on a rotating basis

  • owns, manages and drives projects with focus on best known methods, continuous improvement, 5A and lean manufacturing



Your Profile

  • You hold a Bachelor / Master Degree or at least a degree as "staatlich geprüfter Techniker" or "Meister" and preferably have several years of experience in team and shift management in high volume manufacturing environment.

  • You show a strong ambition to take ownership for being first level management present on Fab floor with responsibilities for overall company goals and results.

  • Your strong communication skills, solution-oriented problem-solving approach and ability to prioritize will help you to achieve realistic yet challenging team goals.

  • Your straightforward thinking and role modelling will inspire your team to achieve best in class performance and results.

  • You are striving to improve and simplify complex processes and are able to set up small teams with best matching qualifications and abilities to collaborate on driving solutions and solving challenges. Fast decision making in daily operations and continuously driving improvements with your team completes your profile.

  • You are familiar with standard office applications and can to easily and fast adapt to special applications used for controlling quality, quantity, yield and cost. This job requires fluent skills in English and German, spoken and written.

  • You are willing to work in a continuous shift system under cleanroom conditions.
