Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Supervises operations for patient registration and billing service representative support services for the division ensuring the process of patient registration and reimbursement and supports the Clinical Director in compliance and reporting for Pediatric Gastroenterology. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Supervises full and part time employees in patient representative and billing service representative role. Monitors scheduling activities of the division, confirming staff appropriately follows the standard practice regarding all registration and scheduling activities, ensuring that the division will manage and minimize all financial losses related to the scheduling process. Communicates and implements all policy and procedures, office expectations and clinical flow patterns. In collaboration with clinical leadership will support staff involved in clinical activities ensuring they understand the appropriate workflow, clinic coverage and Epic schedules.  Resolves direct report personnel problems, interviews applicants for open positions, oversees training of new employees, prepares and administers job evaluations and performs job performance counseling. Prepares, updates and coordinates division scheduling templates. Tracks physicians availability and coordinate clinical schedules for the year with clinical leadership. Coordinates patient inquiries and complaints with clinical leadership. Assists with establishment and maintenance of all policy and procedure manuals, various business records, and personnel documents. Serves as a liaison between service provider, patient and clerical and support personnel. Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings for direct reports, supervisor meetings and attends divisional meetings as requested. Provides support to the clinical leadership team for special departmental/divisional projects as related to the clinical office.  Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in business or related field, plus three years experience in an office setting or equivalent strongly preferred. Prior leadership experience. Adapts to change. Accepts responsibility for learning. Follows policies and procedures. Communicates directly. Strong communications skills, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.   Working knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, personnel, basic office skills, office systems and strategic planning is required.   Ability to work independently. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent high school certification plus three to four years experience in related field. Grade C11 Salary Range $55,000.00 - $85,300.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
