The McKinley Lab studies the biology of the uterus in health and disease. We use a variety of developmental and cell biological approaches including cutting-edge microscopy as well as organoid and animal models to understand and harness the remarkable regenerative capacity of these organs. Under specific direction from PI and researchers, the Research Assistant will assist with bench-level experiments and laboratory operations in support of the Lab's research programs. Additional Qualifications and Skills B.A. or B.S. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or related discipline; Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities are required; Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently are required; Knowledge of cellular and molecular biology and the ability to apply this knowledge are required; One year of laboratory experience is strongly preferred; Prior experience in handling/screening/colony management of small animals (mice) or willingness to learn; Ability to commit at least two years' duration to the position desirable Working Conditions Harvard University continues to place the highest priority on the health, safety and wellbeing of its faculty, staff, and students, as well as the wider community.
