General Summary

To conduct annual termite inspections, wood destroying (EDO) inspections in addition to installing termite bait stations, performing trench and treats, pre-treats, and product applications. Sell or up-sell services and new accounts.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Schedule new service and annual inspections with clients in accordance with company procedures.
  2. Conduct inspections of client’s homes and businesses, in accordance with company procedures; determine if there is evidence of termites or wood destroying organisms and document results of the inspection
  3. Perform initial termite treatments and re-treatment of existing structures in accordance with company standards and procedures
  4. Perform pre-treats as prescribed by product label.
  5. Operate and maintain vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition.
  6. Maintain property inventory of tools, equipment, manuals, and material on vehicle
  7. Follow all established safety procedures in all aspects of the job.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  1. Posses a valid Drivers License and have a driving record that meets or exceeds the company’s requirements.
  2. Ability to read and comprehend product labels and training materials written in English
  3. Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
  4. Able and willing to work in a variety of environmental conditions (seasonal weather, damp and/or hot conditions).
  5. Pass pre-employment drug and background tests.
  6. Correctly use PPE equipment
  7. Have a good understanding of identification of wood destroying organisms as defined by FDACs.
  8. Have a good understanding of construction practices as it relates to insect damage, infestation and treatment strategies.
  9. Proper use of application equipment, inspection equipment, small hand and power tools.

 

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

We require a good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen. Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
