Overview
An electrical engineering position in the Electrical Design Group at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems offers the opportunity to be continually challenged and immersed in an electrical design and test environment. We are focused on supporting the warfighter through the development and manufacture of high rate of fire rotary cannons, high speed ammunition handling systems, control electronics, gun turrets, and test equipment. Our products can be found within every U.S. military branch and within allies around the world.
The Electrical Design Group focuses on providing control solutions for managing the operation of rotary cannons and test solutions for verifying that the rotary cannons meet the warfighters needs. We are looking for an electrical engineer who is interested in designing the control/test of complex machines.

This position is intended to be hybrid at our Williston, VT facility (3 days in the office or at the range and 2 days remote). This position may require light travel to suppliers or customers as needed (less than 25%).
Responsibilities
Design high reliability rotary weapon systems to support the warfighter's needs
Support the full lifecycle of multiple product lines from inception through production
Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and customers
Design test solutions to ensure products meet the warfighter's demands
Generate definition of performance requirements for electrical systems
Generate documentation including formal reports, drawings, specifications, proposals, interface controls and other technical data package items for technical interchange meetings.
Lead electrical development programs as required
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Required Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
