Laboratory Technician | Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences - Military Veterans

Under the direction of the PI and senior scientists, the Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the daily maintenance of human pluripotent stem cells and 3D cerebral organoids to study human cortical development and neurodevelopmental disorders in vitro. Additional Qualifications and Skills BS/BA in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience or related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of directly related, full-time experience in a research lab is strongly recommended. Extensive part-time research experience will also be considered. Prior experience with mammalian cell culture, especially stem cell and neuronal cultures, is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail are required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and with external contacts in a fast-paced environment is required.
