Summary:

The Business Banking Operations - Section Mgr 2 manages through the daily activities for a functional area in addition to having direct reports.   Acts as a liaison with other departments and/or divisions and collaborates with both credit and segment risk to meet or exceed department goals.  Oversight is available but senior managers would expect a Section Manager 2 to recommend a course of action and be able to facilitate their recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Business Banking production of business loans with established Production, SLA & Quality goals, which includes the assignment of work to functional area team members.  
  • Prepares, maintains and/or monitors reports in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as primary back up for their manager as needed for team huddles & meetings. 
  • Is positioned with knowledge and expertise to represent direct manager outside of function group as needed.
  • Instrumental in change management by not only identifying potential efficiencies but also be able to institution & manage necessary change within the functional working group once changes are approved.
  • Resolves the most complex working problems should a Team Lead or SM 1 not be able to assist.  
  • Tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+years’ experience with business or commercial lending in a centralized lending environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree
  • 1-2 years leadership / management experience
  • Demonstrates confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and ability to interact with all levels within the organization in a professional manner
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other internet resources
  • Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
