Position Title: Associate Directors of Advancement, School of Social Work/School of Public Health & Health Professions Posting Number: U230002 Employer: University Affiliates FTE: 1.00 Position Summary: University Advancement has openings for two highly-motivated and goal-oriented individuals who will be tasked with raising funds for two of the university's key health sciences schools the School of Public Health and Health Professions and the School of Social Work . Joining a dynamic team of fundraising professionals, these two associate directors of advancement will play an integral role in the university's comprehensive advancement program, which is currently in the final stages of a transformative billion-dollar campaign. The associate directors will: identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward constituents capable of making major gifts of $50,000 or more with support from a sophisticated operation that drives engagement, prospect management, communications, stewardship and more. develop, strengthen, and grow a robust pipeline of prospects at all stages of giving readiness. As part of a robust talent management strategy, the associate directors will be given the opportunity to learn about other areas of the university and to work with a broad range of prospects in order to position them more strongly for advancement within the division and rank. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree A minimum of three years in a fund-development role, with demonstrated success in goal-achievement, planning and personal solicitation. Related experience in professional sales/marketing, financial planning/advising and other fields will be considered. Strong problem solving and oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen and interact effectively with donors or high-level volunteers. Demonstrated commitment to collaboration as well as the ability to work well both independently and collectively with a diverse team and donor/prospect constituency. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, which includes local and regional visits, and work evenings and occasional weekends.
