University of California Irvine Unit 18 Lecturers at Program in Public Health 2022-2023 Unit 18 Lecturer's - Program in Public Health - 2022-2023 The Program in Public Health at the University of California-Irvine is currently accepting applications for temporary Unit 18 Lecturers (Non-Senate Faculty) for the 2022-2023 academic year to teach courses in graduate and undergraduate programs within the Program of Public Health. The four current departments are: the Department of Epidemiology the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health; the Department of Health, Society, and the Department of Population Health & Disease Prevention. Professional expertise and/or previous teaching experience in online, remote, hybrid, and on-ground modalities are required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. This recruitment is for potential openings for the 2022-2023 academic year (i.e., an open pool) and does not guarantee availability. Fall quarter begins September 19th, 2022 and ends December 9th, 2022 Winter quarter begins January 4, 2023 and ends March 24, 2023 Spring quarter begins March 29, 2023 and ends June 16, 2023 Requirements: Applicants should hold a Ph.D., Dr.P.H., M.D., or equivalent degree in public health or a related field, and will be expected to teach core requirements of the undergraduate degree programs, including the Public Health Policy major, the Public Health Sciences major, the Public Health minor, and the Global Health minor. Candidates with additional professional or research experience will be expected to teach graduate courses in the MPH or Ph.D programs. Candidates should possess excellent pedagogical and organizational skills. Those with expertise in teaching foundations of public health, health policy, public health management, statistics, environmental health, and/or chronic and infectious disease epidemiology are particularly encouraged to apply.
