The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects. Position Summary Temporary, full time, 'non-exempt', benefited position through 6/30/2023 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). Work Schedule Anticipated 40 hours per week. To be determined, 40 hours per week; schedule may require working irregular hours including evenings, weekends, but typically Monday - through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Incumbent must be able to participate in remote or on campus work depending on the directives from the CSUSB campus. Salary: $3,813.26-$4,506.58 per month Location: San Bernardino, CA Project Summary: California State University, San Bernardino is located in San Bernardino in the Inland Empire, 60 miles east of Los Angeles. CSUSB offers programs through the colleges of Arts and Letters, Business and Public Administration, Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences and operates a satellite campus in Palm Desert located in Coachella Valley. CSUSB serves approximately 20,700 students and offers 47 undergraduate, 35 graduate and one doctoral degree as well as 13 programs with national accreditation. Currently, our faculty oversee active funded partnerships with First 5, San Bernardino County Schools, SBC Foster Youth Services, SBC Homeless Youth Services, and the Department of Education. Typical Activities The Project Analyst will work under the direction of the Program Administrator and QCC faculty higher education supervisor as well as in support of various projects within ICDFR. The Project Analyst will have the following duties: Hire, supervise, and evaluate graduate assistants (these students will serve as Higher Education Mentors to scholarship awardees enrolled in our certificate programs) Attend meetings and at times lead meetings with the higher education team (e.g., check-in meetings) Oversee the higher education mentoring program and ensure regular contact with students are being made Identify key faculty and advisors at local colleges and universities to create a contact list within San Bernardino County Maintain and expand relationships with early childhood higher education faculty in San Bernardino County Coordinate meetings with early childhood higher education in San Bernardino County including faculty and counselors/advisors Develop multiple pathway maps/documents that provide guidance for Early Childhood Workforce to complete different degree levels. Develop additional resources for Early Childhood Workforce to help access higher education. Maintain all documents created for the QCC higher education project Provide training for graduate assistants hired as higher education mentors Assist and support related ICDFR projects as needed Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's in Child Development or related field Experience: Experience in child care programs and familiarity with QRIS systems, early childhood workforce and higher education Additional Qualifications: Have the ability to work with a diverse population including communication with people from diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels. Be skilled in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction. Have the ability to write clear and concise reports. Have the ability to work in a team setting. Have the ability to handle multiple work priorities, organize work projects, and complete them in a timely manner. Have strong oral and facilitation skills. Have knowledge of operating standard office equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Access, Powerpoint, Excel, Word) and database management. Possess willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed. Possess willingness to travel based on program needs.
