Job Description

Facilities Electrical Engineers at Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) are engaged (throughout their career) to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and development of industrial monitoring equipment. This exciting opportunity is located at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) in the Facilities team! This role will perform engineering evaluations and analyses and make engineering decisions for all aspects of assigned tasks. The successful candidate will participate as a member of a multi-disciplined team responsible for technical requirements in the maintenance, troubleshooting and development of equipment at NRF. Previous experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is preferred. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Development of technical specifications for repair of equipment
  • Development of functional requirements for equipment
  • Technical oversight of assigned systems
  • Monitors for trends and applicability of equipment in industry for technology improvements

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university required.

Preferred Skills

  • Rockwell Automation experience
  • Previous experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
  • Industrial Networking experience
