POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Associate QA Manager, you will be responsible for general supervision of the QA Department. The Associate QA Manager will also maintain the division quality assurance program in a manner that ensures all products produced and shipped from the plant meet the Company’s quality specifications.
- Coordinate the plant efforts to assure that all ingredients and finished products fall within the limits of the specifications per Nestle and Purina standards
- Maintain all QA records and operating manuals per the Division Operating Standards
- Responsible for the employees of the QA and Sanitation team, including employee relations, safety and training, daily communication, hiring, and discipline
- Administer all plant and Company Quality related policies and programs, including HACCP, Pathogen Monitoring Program, Master Sanitation Plan, and foreign body program
- Coordinate the plant Formulation Program as directed by Corporate Tech Apps, QA, and Pet Nutrition
- Be a member of and/or lead the Q Pillar and manage functions of the pillar
- Assist in the development and training of Production and Warehouse Team Leaders and Hourly employees as is related to Quality, Sanitation, and Product Safety
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Degree Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline
3+ years' experience in a quality assurance or production role in a food/beverage manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
1+ year supervisory experience
