Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Services or designee, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing support activities related to the functions of the office. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Handle routine office functions including the appointment and admission of visitors, telephone coverage, ordering supplies and referring inquiries to the appropriate areas. 2. Assist with Banner processing, record maintenance and related activities.  3. Assist with the intake, registration and follow-up process. 4. Assist students with problems and direct contact with counselors, advisors and other appropriate offices to resolve student issues.  5. Prepare, process, and file personnel actions forms, purchase orders and related documents.  6. Assist with operational and administrative details inclusive of workshops and special events. 7. Maintain office equipment and determine the need for repair.  8. Independently compose memoranda, correspondence, and other required communications. 9. Arrange and coordinate required services from other area including, but limited to, Printshop, MPT , and Mailroom. 10. Promptly and accurately, maintain enrollment inquiries. 11. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student and staff records. 12. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Experience: 1. Associate's Degree. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized record maintenance and management, preferably Banner System. 3. Detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize assignments. 3. Working knowledge of computer applications. 4. Excellent interpersonal skills. 5. Abiltiy to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 6. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Preferred Experience: 1. Associate's Degree in related area. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of general administrative practices and procedures. 3. Ability to deal with the public and institutional staff.
