Student Affairs Case Manager University of California Riverside Job Number: 27904264 Full/Part Time: Full Time Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Salary: $61,800 - $110,000 Position Information Under the general direction of the Director of Case Management, the Case Manager plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates a full range of case management services for UC Riverside students; with an emphasis on identifying resources to address student medical, psychological, psychiatric, social, financial and academic needs. Student Affairs Case Management is a member of the Health and Psychological Student Services cluster of the Division of Student Affairs and is committed to supporting student success through optimization of emotional and physical health, through direct service, education, and provision of resources and referrals. **The classification title and salary range for this position are currently under review. The classification for this position is covered under the UPTE-CWA (Residual Health Care Professionals (HX)).** **As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment.** Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Master's degree in related area or equivalent experience. Required Post-master's experience in providing counseling and case management to complex clients. Preferred Licenses License Requirement Current, valid license in California as an LCSW or LMFT. Required Conditions Condition Requirement Maintenance of appropriate continuing education. Required Experience Experience Requirement 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Experience designing and implementing multicuturally sensitive outreach programs and psychoeducational workshops. Required Case Management in a medical setting. Preferred Demonstrated commitment and experience with Diversity and Inclusion or experience focused on one of the following communities: LGBTQ+ communities and identities, Black/African Diaspora, Chicano/a and Latina/o/x or Asian and Pacific Islanders. Required Experience working in a university or college setting. Preferred Minimum Requirements Special Condition Requirement Expectation of availability after hours or on weekends to serve the occasional emergent needs of students and campus challenges/crises. Required Shift Work (hours outside standard Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM work hours) Required Preferred Qualifications Thorough knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to patients' rights. Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic approach and modify as necessary. Knowledge of business software and specialized applications/systems used in behavioral health settings. Knowledge of electronic medical records systems. Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. Understanding of intersectionality and how it impacts the daily lives of students. Highly effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards. Demonstrated multicultural comptence in mental health service provision. Knowledge of how race, ethnic identitiy, gender, sexual orientation, disability, privlage and multiculturalism related to psychological service delivery. Intrests and focus on diversity and inclusion or demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the cultures and counseling for one of the : LGBTQ+ communities and identities, Black/African Diaspora, Chicano/a and Latina/o/x or Asian and Pacific Islanders. Highly effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with a diverse client group. Knowledge of principles and practices of social work and case management techniques. Advanced psycho-social assessment skills. Demonstrated ability to direct, organize, and prioritize workload to meet required deadlines and department objectives. Knowledge of Riverside/San Bernardino area social services networks. Expertise in suicide prevention services and programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships. Skill in preparing comprehensive and in-depth analysis of complex, sensitive, and multi-faceted issues, particularly under tight time constraints.
