As the Safety Manager, you will work with the Management team to establish the Plant’s Safety Performance goals. You will provide all associates with the training, resources and support needed to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures. You will champion all safety policies and procedures and lead plant-wide safety meetings, teams and functional training.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops Safety and Health programs, systems and processes, including training and coaching to establish clear expectations and procedures.
- Maintain the Safety Management System in accordance with the certification requirements of OHSAS 18001. Drive compliance with local, state, and federal safety requirements.
- Leads the effective implementation and utilization of risk assessment and risk prediction processes to ensure effective at identification, communication, and mitigation of workplace hazards. Ensures investigation of all work-related incidents utilizing TPM tools to drive to root cause and identification of actions to prevent recurrence.
- Implement an effective Safety Training program that meets the requirements of OSHA and the NPPC Safety Management System (SMS).
- Utilize Nestle TPM principles, tools, systems and processes to enhance performance. Develops and leads the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) pillar for the site during TPM implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related field
3+ years’ experience in a safety or compliance role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
