Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Instructor | St. Cloud Technical & Community College - Military Veterans

Location: St Cloud, MN Full/Part Time: Part Time Employment Condition: Unlimited Job Description: Teach a wide range of nursing assistant courses across the curriculum  Facilitate student learning through mentoring and engaging with students in both lab and clinical settings(may be at non-traditional times and days) Collaborate with colleagues and students cultivating an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment. Design and revise nursing curriculum through an equity minded, student centered, and antiracist lens. Work as a team member in maintaining a learning environment Participate as a faculty member in college committees and activities Assist in course scheduling and inter-program collaboration Required Qualifications: Must meet minimum qualifications for faculty credentialing in Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide. Occupational Experience Requirement: Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience of direct patient care, one year must be in long term care. Recency Requirement: One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Professional Requirement: Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license. All Nursing faculty must meet the requirements as determined by clinical sites and/or facilities. This may include, but is not limited to, drug and/or alcohol testing. Failure to meet the clinical sites and/or facilities requirements may result in termination during the probationary period. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing, nursing education, nursing administration, public health nursing, nursing clinical specialty, or a Master's degree in relevant field Teaching experience at the post-secondary level Three years of LTC experience Ability to work with and relate to a diverse student population Willingness to work flexible hours during the day, evening and/or weekend days About: The work location is in the heart of beautiful central Minnesota, just an hour from the Twin Cities.
