LinQuest is seeking a Software Test Engineer with experience in software integration as well as test and verification planning to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

For over 40 years, LinQuest has been a leader in space systems technology solutions for U.S. defense and intelligence communities, and you will be joining a small, hand-selected systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting Space Force Advanced Communications.

You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will work onsite, co-located and closely integrated with the Government Customer. Sign on and retention bonuses will be considered for applicants in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute software test planning, test execution, and test closure for requirement verification
  • Develop test planning documents that guide the test approach
  • Support quality Integrated Test Team (ITT), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Working Group meetings and action resolution
  • Work closely with internal and Government stakeholders to develop, review and release test and verification plans
  • Support and review external requirements verification events and generate metrics/reports on requirements verification status
  • Support day-in-the-life activities, test article tracking, deficiency reporting and test report generation
  • Analyze and support verification and validation test activities
  • Participate in risk mitigation test activities and system integration demonstrations
  • Coordinate test activities with development contractors and staff from the Government and Federal Funded Research & Development Centers
Required Skills:

  • Experience testing software in a development environment
  • Experience with satellite communications
  • Experience working across space and ground segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements that ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, as well as clear and
    concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a
    rapidly changing environment
  • Understanding of system engineering processes
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
Required Experience:

  • BS degree in a computer science, engineering, aeronautics, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and five (5+) years of systems integration and systems engineering related experience, or
  • MS degree in a computer science, engineering, aeronautics, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and three (3+) years of systems integration and systems engineering related experience


Compensation:The salary for this position ranges from approximately $150,000 to $180,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
