_The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule_ **_YEAR-ROUND._**

**Your Responsibilities**

​​​​​​This position would be a mixture of John Deere paint lab innovation projects and ongoing lab support. The Paint Manufacturing Services Team works with the Enterprise Facilities Services to support project coordination and communication throughout the company. This would lead to roles at the local John Deere Quad Cities factories to support paint manufacturing engineering and facilities engineering projects.

+ Support Paint Lab with testing and new method development

+ Works with Deere software to perform engineering functions

+ Provides technical and quality support for basic trouble shooting of paint operations

+ Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing

+ Create operator method sheets for standard work

+ Support cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas

**What Skills You Need**

+ Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in an engineering or a materials related field, others may apply

+ Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited college/university

+ Graduation date of 2023 or later

+ Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

+ Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly

+ Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly

+ Must be able to commute to John Deere Information Technology Center located in Moline, Illinois or other local John Deere units in Quad Cities as needed

+ Flexible schedule to accommodate school hours for working M – F during business hours
