Partner - Business Consulting, Utilities Sector

Infosys Consulting is currently seeking a Partner with outstanding AMI/Grid Modernization experience in the Utilities Industry.

Core Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management: Bring current relationships and build and maintain professional relationship with senior and C-level client executives. Expand professional network in client organizations. Should be well acquainted with client`s business situation, able to speak on behalf of the client`s best interests, and act as a trusted advisor, offering differing viewpoints from client executives where vital. Anchor new and existing client accounts, and interface on engagement-level client concerns.
Engagement Delivery and Management: Take bottom line responsibility for Infosys program execution. This includes providing vision and mentorship to the team, bringing industry expertise to the engagement, handling key client team members, periodic program review and ensuring quality checks are in place. Need to be able to intervene in critical situations and handle customer concerns, working collaboratively with all parts of Infosys. Must be active in the details of the program and have a positive impact on the outcome.
Proposal Development and Delivery: Lead teams to prepare large proposals and program plans, identify Infosys differentiators, articulate our outstanding value proposition, review and fine tune the financials, and lead proposal presentations for a compelling proposition for the client to engage Infosys.
Opportunity Identification/ Creation: Build/identify multi-million-dollar opportunities within existing and new clients using industry expertise, industry relationships, intellectual capital, background in potential problem areas, knowledge of upcoming regulatory and market changes, and Infosys services offerings in order to build engagement opportunities.
Contract Negotiation: Analyze the probability of signing up a new deal & the criticality of the deal for Infosys, as well as appropriately prepare for negotiations on terms and conditions of the engagement with the client and acquire confirmation and approval from all internal collaborators to ensure timely and smooth closure of the deal.
Talent Management: Demonstrate the ability to attract, develop and retain top consulting talent and the next generation of Infosys Consulting leaders.
Industry Eminence: Publish leading thinking on industry trends and participate in Industry forums co-presenting with clients on solutions to industry problems.
Practice Building: Identify growth strategies using the full complement of Infosys capabilities. Lead development of new offerings and building capabilities to deliver to clients.
Operations: Ensure operational excellence within portfolio, including pipeline management, forecasting, cash collections, etc.

Core Capabilities:

Capable of growing and owning the expansion of Infosys Consulting capabilities in the following areas:
  • AMI system planning and implementation
  • Outage management system implementation (through links with GIS and real time consumer status)
  • Distribution asset management programs including equipment health assessment and condition-based maintenance
  • Advanced distribution management systems (distribution automation, integrated operation of DER, micro-grid operation, self-healing, etc.)
  • Improvements to power quality issues
  • Distribution system support of transmission operations (transmission congestion relief, voltage support, loss reduction)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 15 years of leadership experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience.
  • Must have at least 10 years of consulting experience in Utilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.B.A or equivalent advanced degree
  • 18+ years of experience
  • Sales & Relationship or account management experience with an industry or service offering focus.
  • Big 4 Consulting Experience
  • Global Delivery Model experience.
