Van Trans is immediately hiring School Bus Drivers for our Bronx location.

What We Offer: FLEXIBILITY
  • Split-Shift- Mornings and Afternoons.
  • Use mid-day time as YOU need it.
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
  • FREE Training to prepare for CDL Permit.
  • $750 bonus when you train with us and receive your CDL.
  • $2,500 Sign-on-Bonus for any hired fully licensed NY CDL Driver who has an A, B or C license with P & S endorsements.
  • $20.50/hr for Van
  • $21.00/hr for School Bus.

Job Summary
  • Operate school buses to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs safely and promptly following prescribed route(s).
  • Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.
  • Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating a vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating a yellow school bus.\\Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications, including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test, and driving records.
  • Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.

Job Requirements Drivers must be at least 21 with 1 year driving experience
  • NYS CDL A, B with P & S endorsements
  • Must have a driver's license to enter CDL permit training (we train you!)
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check

About the Company Van Trans a subsidiary of WE Transport. WE Transport has been a respected Long Island school bus operator since 1959. During the past five decades, we have provided our Nassau and Suffolk customers — and more recently Connecticut, Westchester, and New York City customers — with transportation for home-to-school, parochial, private, special needs riders, and pre-school children.
