The Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) Team within the Boeing Global Services Engineering Capability is looking for an Experienced Software Engineer.  This team develops, fields and supports aircraft support systems for the F-15, F/A-18, T-38 and T-7 aircraft platforms.  The system acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment and recommends maintenance actions.  The team is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to develop software and software tests throughout all phases of the software development life-cycle (requirements, design, implementation and verification).  The software engineer will develop cloud-based, micro-service applications on various software projects in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software build pipeline using an agile methodology focused on code quality, security and automation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work in Agile team environment to develop, test and deploy software in Microsoft Technology Stack with .Net Core, C#
  • Develop using containerized software with Dockers, Micro-services
  • Design and write S.O.L.I.D clean, scalable code and develop highly scalable APIs and services
  • Perform code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and best practices
  • Develop documentation and design materials, while recommending best design practices
  • Take responsibility for technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practices
  • Embrace our culture, with an emphasis on contributing ideas, thoughts, and constructive feedback
  • Use responsive web design to provide an optimal experience across all devices
  • Create rich, interactive user-experiences with modern technologies with a focus on performance, scalability, security and maintainability

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Experience in .Net Core 2.x and higher or ASP.NET MVC, Web Api & Microservices
  • 2+ years’ experience with C#
  • Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • Development experience with a modern JavaScript-based web application front end framework such as React, Vue or Angular

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning, build and test automation tools
  • Experience with development & deployment on Cloud platforms such as Azure, PCF, OpenShift and AWS
  • Experience working with Test Planning and Automation
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience in Rest API development
  • Experience mentoring subordinates and/or junior personnel

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.


This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (St. Louis City, MO) This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Summary pay range: 104,550 – 141,450
