Job Description

Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Veolia's Gum Springs technical training programs in providing technical and educational support regarding knowledge and skill requirements with respect to compliance issues in accordance with federal, state, and local agency regulations as well as the company's regulatory and safety policies and practices. Also, develop and update training modules pertaining to Career Development Programs to ensure adequate skills and knowledge for facilitating advancement and/or specific educational courses that may be required. Coordinate annual training compliance matrix using Veolia's existing program and tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and implement Train-the-Trainer training programs to appropriate training personnel in the field locations to ensure that standardization of materials is maintained throughout the company.
  • Maintain and update supervisory training programs to ensure that the most current skills are addressed and communicated to allow for promotional advancements.
  • Maintain training records
  • Prepare new employee training program, provide in-person/computer training, testing material to support qualifications, and maintain records
  • Include SOPs applicable by position to become part of the training program
  • Develop curriculum and appropriate materials focusing on all business units within Veolia to provide and insure consistency of training programs.
  • Collect and analyze various data to track the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs and make appropriate modifications, as necessary.
  • Issue training policies that clearly define the purpose of each program.
  • Communicate existing and/or potential training programs to the site in order to better service the needs of the employees.
  • Coordinate training with safety, and environmental departments to comply with OSHA, Federal, and State requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or related direct work experience required
  • Prior work experience of 10 years in a training capacity required
  • Industrial training background is a plus
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Extensive Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge of maintenance and operations in an incineration environment
  • Ability to effectively present information
