Regional Transition Manager

Has operational ownership for new site implementations; responsible for the customer relationship, operational execution, and financial oversight through delivery transformation. Works collaboratively with Service Delivery Managers with establishing the ATS Operating System. Provides planning, execution, leadership, and training for new ATS Site Managers to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. Will periodically be the initial Site Manager on new business start-up and the acting/interim Site Manager for existing Site Managers. Responsible for the execution of the documented training project plan within the planned timelines, and successfully transitioning all duties to permanent Site Manager.

  • Takes responsibility for employee safety and wellness by deploying the ATS safety program and ensuring effective completion of safety training, observations, and incident investigations.

  • Motivates employees by communicating a clear vision that enables all employees to understand the rationale for, and the benefit of, both site-level and company-wide objectives.
  • Acts as an effective change agent, leading the implementation of strategic initiatives through positive team communications, appropriate action planning, and successful implementation activities.
  • Understands and appropriately articulates both ATS and customer strategies, providing the team with line of sight between team responsibilities and strategic outcomes.

 To Ensure and Drive our Business Results

  • Accounts for revenues & expenses (labor, overtime, travel etc.) for all Site Operations activities.
  • Assists in recruiting efforts of hiring employees for new or existing Site Operations.
  • Engage regularly with Regional Business Manager and Director Field Operations to update training activities for the Site Manager’s development and to ensure an excellent, comprehensive On-Job Training (OJT) experience.
  • Observes current working environment to determine operating procedure and detail.
  • Coordinates site specific training to customer and employees, including manager.
  • Establishes and presents performance measurements.
  • Leads and directs the team to ensure that they are well trained and delivering per the SOW or as assigned by the Regional Business Manager.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for customers when fulfilling the Site Manager Role.


  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth skills in the Manufacturing or Industrial Parts industries.
  • Previous experience providing leadership as a site manager.
  • Proven success in leading a Factory Maintenance Site.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate team to produce quality results within the given timeframes.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.  
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers. 
  • Excellent leadership skills and knowledge, including business acumen, building organizational capabilities, and collaborative working style.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, coaching, and decision-making skills. 
  • Proficient with computers, maintenance systems, and applications, including CMMS and Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to travel to various customer locations to perform support activities 80%-95% of the time.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:                                         

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.  The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision.  The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
