SCADA Database Lead (REMOTE) - Military Veterans

Required Skills:

• Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience related to SCADA deployment/implementation.
• Experience and skilled with SCADA system used in electric operations, preferably Schneider Electric SCADA system.
• Experience in converting legacy SCADA system databases to a new SCADA system at an electric utility company
• Experienced in the implementation and maintenance of large-scale SCADA systems running on a major vendor platform
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands with tight timelines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present information to various audiences in both formal and informal settings
• Strong customer service focus with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders which includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to deploy a structured approach to problem solving and work practices
• Familiarity with systems development methodologies, requirements analysis, system design and testing methods
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Remote, but could be up to 25% travel within North America

The SCADA Database Lead will be hands-on and will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain.

The highly skilled SCADA Database Lead will manage the technical aspects of the project and play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of the SCADA/ADMS system within the electric distribution utility domain.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the SCADA database work, establishing methodology, test scenarios, defining key conversion indicators and can manage a team of SME’s performing the work.
• Managing the Database Track, including all aspects of the track, schedule, scope, risks, and other issues
• Working with SCADA/ADMS vendor on the database conversions, quality verification and remediation
• Assist in developing Statements of Work as needed to bring on additional consultant/vendor team members
• Acting as a champion to foster a positive project work environment; and successfully lead the database track to accomplish all the project objectives
• Maintain practices and procedures that support enterprise service management, governance, and regulatory processes
• Collaborate with various departments including Control Center Operations, SCADA/ADMS support, and IT
