Responsibilities:
- Identify, document and report technical disconnects relating to Launch System readiness planning, integration, launch-base processing activities, and the closing out of any launch integration activities for compliance with government policies and instructions
- Capture and document all lessons learned from previous missions and evaluate potential impact on current mission being worked.
- Participate in day-of launch rehearsal activities, mission readiness reviews, space flight worthiness preparations and presentations, mission certification, EOT / test coordinator training, SV shipment coordination and transportation support, factory activities, provide directorate interaction to on-orbit contractor support, and provide launch-base planning, preparation, and sustainment required for launch-base processing flow
- Review, edit, update, and coordinate all documentation (e.g., launch-related mission unique proposals) required to facilitate the execution of the next launch
- Support Interface Control Document (ICD) development and support requirements interface management, allocation, and traceability to ensure SV requirements are assessed and implemented on the launch vehicle
- Analyze launch planning dates and provide program risk assessments and recommendations to the government.
Participate as an adviser in Launch Enterprise booster competition source selection
- Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution across the spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities
- Working with military and other government representatives, FFRDC (Aerospace) representatives, and SSC's prime contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to develop solutions for complex technical issues with limited supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years’ experience in areas of Launch Systems Integration, systems engineering, DoD space acquisitions and compliance with government instructions
- Day-of-Launch rehearsal activities and Mission Readiness Reviews
- Satellite production and launch processing at the Eastern or Western Range
- TS/SCI Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position
- Starting salary ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
