Requisition Number: 2022-326 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Neurological Sciences 50001975 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: Academic Neurologist sought to join the Department of Neurological Sciences Faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center ( UNMC ) Program to enhance our regional Neurohospitalist and Stroke Programs. This faculty position is for an academic BC/BE Neurohospitalist, Vascular Neurologist, Neurointensivist, or a General Neurologist with significant inpatient experience. Faculty member would participate in the clinical, educational and research activities of the Department of Neurological Sciences. Clinical activities would include attending on inpatient General Neurology Service, Stroke Service, and a Tele- Stroke Service. Faculty member would be involved in resident and medical student education and would be available to help participate in clinical and translational research trials. The Nebraska Stroke Center has been certified by the Joint Commission since 2005. The inpatient Stroke and General Neurology services are the largest in the region, and provide comprehensive neurologic care with a multidisciplinary team that includes Neurohospitalists, Neurointensivists, Vascular Neurologists, a robust Emergency Department , Neuroradiologists, Endovascular Neurosurgeons, a dedicated Clinical Neurosciences floor and ICU , and case managers. Neurology Residents and other Neurology faculty will support this faculty member in inpatient care and after hours call coverage.
