The Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking applicants for several tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level in the broad areas of Neuroscience and Pharmacology. We are looking for colleagues who will complement our existing strengths in molecular and systems neuroscience, disorders of the nervous system, central control of energy homeostasis and cardiovascular function, cell signaling, aging, and cancer biology. Neuroscience and Pharmacology faculty members direct a long-standing NIH funded training program for predoctoral students in Pharmacological Sciences and have strong collaborative interactions with colleagues throughout the Carver College of Medicine, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cardiovascular Center, Iowa Neuroscience Institute, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center. Both the college and university support core research facilities to aid faculty efforts in discovery and scholarship. These tenure-track positions include a 12-month salary with benefits, a highly competitive start-up package, and research space in state-of-the-art facilities.
