Discipline: Biological Sciences. A position for a postdoctoral research scholar with human vascular physiology background is available in a translational research lab focused on vascular disease in chronic kidney disease. The successful candidate will be involved in studying interventions that improve vascular endothelial function and large artery stiffness in patients with chronic kidney disease. The most important qualification is the understanding of human vascular physiology. Combined biophysical and imaging approaches in humans will be used to answer questions. In addition, experience with immunofluorescence and human sample processing for biochemical tests will be viewed favorably. Candidates qualified for NIH training grants and fellowships will be favorably considered.
