Your Impact:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with developing and/or implementing numerical methods in an existing or new code.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to contribute to a team effectively in a research environment.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check/security clearance and drug screen.
- Experience in one or more relevant area including, plasma physics, in-space electric propulsion, finite-rate chemistry modeling, DSMC, PIC, MHD, Multi-fluid, Vlasov, commercial CFD packages, and/or uncertainty quantification.
- PhD or Master’s degree with history of independent research in a relevant field.
- Computer science experience with object-oriented language (e.g. C++ or Python), version control, and continuous integration.
- Knowledge of parallel programming models (MPI, OpenMP, and CUDA) and their use on high performance computing systems.
- Publication of research results in conferences proceedings or peer reviewed journals.
