As a Credit Risk Review Advisor, you will be within PNC's Credit Risk Review Organization. This is a position which provides flexibility to work both in the office and remotely and is based in Cleveland, OH, Philadelphia, PA, Houston, TX, Raleigh, NC, Birmingham, AL and Pittsburgh, PA. Certain job responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis. This position may not be available in all jurisdictions.
This position will support Credit Risk Review's assessment of PNC's commercial portfolio, including Asset Backed Finance, PNC Real Estate, Dealer Finance, Business Credit and Capital Markets, along with the Commercial Banking segment, Diversified Industries Group - Energy/Utilities/Healthcare/Other, Public Finance, and Corporate Finance & Middle Market. The individual will assess if PNC is underwriting to its prescribed policies and procedures as well as alignment to regulatory guidance.
Job Description
- Analyzes file review activities associated with applicable business segment. Executes file review assessment on moderately complex credit and credit related transactions; understands inherent risk and the materiality of risk. May act as a reviewer in charge. Serves as a resource to junior staff.
- Robust understanding of the credit cycle and economic indicators' impact on key driving metrics. Demonstrates robust knowledge of where and how to leverage industry/economic research tools into the review.
- Analyzes moderately complex credit facility structures and underwriting processes within the context of credit policies. Validates scorecard risk ratings, testing and maintenance activities. Ensures understanding of portfolio issues, trends, and root causes in order to manage credit portfolios effectively. Analyzes output to support decisioning. Analyzes risk in assigned credit portfolios by reviewing relevant reporting and assessing trends.
- Provides strong analytical insight and identifies risk concentrations, systemic trends or issues.
- Completes work papers, issue tracking and follows up on exam findings. Participates in continuous monitoring for assigned portfolios.
- Prepares materials and supporting documentation, and conducts meetings with Line of Business representatives with minimal supervision. Effectively communicates Credit Risk Reviews plans and objectives for reviews.
