GENERAL PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing and gate keeping all store/field operational and cultural communications. Ensures consistency of message and voice; optimizes communication channels, segmentation, delivery and measurement. Has a strong passion and advocacy for the field and their success, and uses that passion as the lens through which communication strategy is developed and implemented.

The base salary range for this role is $102,500 - $156,350. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for intake process, prioritization and communication of all Store Operations policies, procedures, initiatives and best practices.

• Responsible for supporting Strategic Initiatives from a change management and communications perspective, advise on messaging, tools, solve complex challenges and ensure projects are completed timely and within budget to meet the needs of the business.

• Actively pursues opportunities to improve communication practices and processes

• Responsible for leading, managing, and developing team of direct report(s).

• Serves as a subject matter expert on all areas of communications for cross functional business partners and field leadership

• Proactively builds relationships at all levels with business partners in the Corporate Office and throughout the Chain.

• Provides expert communication counsel and guidance and. leverages that expertise to help drive the priorities of the business overall.

• Responsible for managing and evolving the best use of store communications tools like task management system and store web pages to ensure consistent operational execution, reporting and feedback collection.

• Supports event planning and execution for annual Field conferences as needed

• Able to translate technical specifications into communications that are consistent, understandable and easy to execute. Must be able to adjust tone and language for multiple audiences (individually and through team).

• Manages the scheduling and execution of rollouts of Store initiatives other projects to stores as needed.

• Interfaces with and presents up to all levels of management (President, Vice Presidents, District Managers and stores).

• Interfaces with external vendors to create supplemental instructional materials for Stores and other functional areas as needed.

• Responsible for driving cultural support and changes through communications like newsletters, associate commitments, messaging and field management meetings.
Administration and Support

• Ensures that Department is providing a high level of service to all stakeholder groups and Field Management. Consistently seeks out areas for improvement.

• Provides support for all Field Management as needed. For example, compliance reporting, forming work committees, special projects, research, etc.

• Responsible for managing data collection as needed through task management or other online survey tools.

• Responsible for all Store data entry and maintenance as needed. For example, electronic distribution lists, website information, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• College degree in relevant field and 5-10 years of experience in relevant field

• Experience and passion for leading and developing people and teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively interact with executive leadership autonomously and with confidence

• Stays current with new communications technologies and processes, is naturally curious and is constantly asking "how might we do this better?"

• Advanced PC Skills

• Strong project management skills

• Understanding of retail store operations preferred. Must be able to understand and interpret functions and systems in all operating areas for communication to the stores.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
