We are looking for an experienced and creative user interface designer to join our team. The user interface designer will be responsible for creating and designing web elements that optimize user interaction and experience. The ideal candidate will understand the differences between UI and UX design, and have a creative yet organized approach to tackling problems and creating solutions. The user interface designer will work with team leadership to create wireframes, storyboards, and conceptual models for testing and building.

Core Job Duties
  • Work with business analysts to define user personas and flows
  • Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen functionality
  • Build wireframes and storyboards to conceptualize design
  • Create and implement prototypes, low fidelity and high fidelity user design specifications
  • Define visual elements, product elements, and overall style guide for products
  • Conduct user testing of applications, software, and websites
  • Evaluate and set best practices and standards for a UX center of excellence
  • Measure human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design
  • Perform and implement user research for surveys and feedback
  • Work with engineering, frontend and backend developers as needed to realize design objectives
  • Determine timeline and deliverables

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience with UI design with portfolio of sample projects
  • 7-8 years' previous experience in web application UX or UI design, or related position
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes
  • Experience with visual design programs such as Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Experience with wire-framing, storyboard, user flow, and prototyping tools
  • In-depth understanding of UX design principles
  • Knowledge of latest design and technology trends and their use in a commercial environment
  • Demonstrated experience implementing WCAG accessibility guidelines
  • Artistic eye for design, user interaction, functionality, and readability
  • Able to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with all stakeholders and collaborators
  • Able to work independently and as an active member of a team
  • Experience using design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD required
  • Adobe XD experience preferred
