Cross Functional Engineering Associate (Hourly) - Columbus, Indiana
Description
We are looking for a talented Cross-Functional Engineering Associate to join our team at the Cummins Technical Center in Columbus, IN with starting pay of $32.50 -$36.50/hour.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Builds, repairs, and prepares articles for testing and associated equipment. Able to perform tests by following procedures and work with cross-functional engineering functions to develop and execute testing. Drives continuous improvement in test setup and testing methods. Aids in the analysis of test data.
- Able to interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams. Experienced in preventive maintenance.
- Works with engineers to develop measurement techniques; manages/leads test system and test article issue resolution process, including teardown analysis .and teardown reports.
- Coordinates programs, including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
- Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work needs and willingness to undertake new tasks as they become evident; initiates, develops, leads, and participates in improvement projects.
- Manages own work and adjusts work priorities to meet the demands; participates in self and team audits; plans and engages in continuous learning to be prepared for changing work demands.

Qualifications
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR
Associates degree from an accredited program in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
Relevant military education and experience.

Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
