About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer with the storage administration, operations, hygiene, technology refresh, upgrades and production support team in India. This team performs storage automations, operations, technology refresh, patching and hygiene activities on SAN storage. This is a 12/7/365 team that works in shifts on rotation basis. Reporting on daily activities, warm shift hand-offs, monthly metrics reporting, coordination with US, India resources for getting the day's job done


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams
  • Work as key participant in large scale planning of storage infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area
  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
  • Collaborate with global teams on technical changes and enhancements
  • Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals
  • Own, drive, deliverkey transformation programs including but not limited to transformation, cloud adoption, agile journeys, site reliability and automations
  • Effective partner management across the globe.
  • Act as primary customer interface for day to day issues and queries
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members on handling day to day work both technical and on process level.
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Develop and support routine operational activities with automation.
  • Must be able to provide SME coverage for all high impact & visible production issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify preventive action plan.
  • Understand end to end delivery in terms of upgrades, refresh, production support and work order handling.
  • Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA.
  • Understanding of Multi-geo support environment.
  • Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Work closely with peer teams to deliver high availability and optimum performance for customers


Required Qualifications :

  • Experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • University degree in technology or related discipline.
  • Experience of more than 11 years of experience in SAN Storage Administration across Plan, Build, Operate & Maintain on Dell EMC, PURE, Hitachi, Brocade and Cisco storage systems
  • Programming knowledge such as Perl, Python, Shell scripting.
  • Demonstrated capabilities of Infrastructure development, Infrastructure as a Code, API integrations and Site Reliability Engineering
  • Advance level of experience with SAN storage troubleshooting
  • Awareness of observability tools like splunk, elastic search, kibana, prometheus and grafana
  • Understanding of DevOps tools like Puppet , Ansible , Docker ,Github & Jenkins.
  • Good to have awareness of Cloud technologies like OpenStack , Azure , AWS and Cloud Foundry.
  • Good Understanding of Automation Tools like HPSA,HPOO and ability to develop scripts to accomplish mass deployments.
