LinQuest is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

You will join a Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force Satellite Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The System Engineer will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. The System Engineer will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.

The System Engineer must have the knowledge to perform MILSATCOM-related system engineering tasks, as well as be vastly familiar with Space Ground Segments and possess 15+ years of experience working in positions related to Space Systems. The technical professional will support EPS-R's Control and Planning Segment (CAPS), performing reviews and analysis of the Ground Segment System Integration, Verification, and Validation.

The System Engineer should understand all technical parameters of EPS-R CAPS, assess contractor deliverables to ensure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces, and support the System Tests and Verifications.

The System Engineer should understand programmatic discussions and leverage their technical knowledge to weigh the design/test trade-offs to support the Ground PM in decision making.

Responsibilities:

Analyze systems requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baseline.
• Work with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps in flow of customer requirements down through the system and component levels.
• Lead and support Government and contractor Working Group meetings by creating briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes to resolve risks, requirement gaps, and action items.
• Review proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concerns.


• Facilitate review of program documents by providing comments, compiling other reviewer comments, and working with contractor to adjudicate the comments.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings to U.S. Space Force management.
• Support management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutions.

Required Skills:
• BS in technical field, such as engineering and computer science
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Preferred Skills:
• MS in Engineering
• Knowledge and expertise in communications engineering
• Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)

Required Experience:
• 15+ years with space systems engineering & integration programs and projects
• 5+ years working with EPS-R CAPS ground control segment
• 5+ years with requirements definition, installation, and integration of satellite ground control systems
• 5+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering
• 5+ years working in a collaborative team environment developing technical baseline/systems specification, verification or analysis using engineering applications and simulation models

US Citizenship and an active DoD SECRET Clearance are required to be considered for the position

Preferred Experience:
• Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, FAB-T terminal programs
• Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
• Experience with ground and satellite systems, such as terminals and networks

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $165k - $185k depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
