Information and Cyber Security (ICS) is a part of Wells Fargo Technology. ICS is responsible for protecting the company from cyber threats, engaging with Wells Fargo businesses, assessing information security risk, providing identity services, performing security engineering, and operating the ICS function.

ICS pioneers solutions to secure customer information and enable our partners. This group's mission is to deliver seamless security for stakeholders by empowering the team to manage risk and provide proactive, innovative, and resilient solutions.

The Cloud Security Team is part of the ICS organization and is accountable for execution of the cloud security strategy in support of the company's hosting strategy, which encompasses cloud and virtualization infrastructure services both on premises and external.

This position is the Cloud Security Technology and Excellence Lead, reporting to the Head of Cloud Security.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Serve as a senior cloud security Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader for Cloud Security Program across all Information Security areas including, but not limited to, Data Protection, Logging & Monitoring, Identity & Access Management.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate across Information and Cyber Security and its partners on delivery of cross-functional, high-visibility initiatives across all Information Security areas including, but not limited to, Data Protection, Logging & Monitoring, Identity & Access Management.
  • Enable successful delivery of Cloud Security strategic objectives by anticipating potential roadblocks to deployment of cloud security capabilities and drive necessary change across people, process, and technology.
  • Prioritize and orchestrate resolution of cloud security challenges and issues arising during delivery of Digital Infrastructure strategy and program commitments and/or delivery of Cloud Security Program and, if applicable, drive cloud security operational readiness and cross-functional hand-offs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ICS and technology partners (e.g., Architecture, Cloud Platform owners) to proactively identify potential challenges in delivering cloud security capabilities and drive resolution.
  • Raise awareness of the Cloud Security mission, vision and strategic objectives and promote partnership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Evangelize and operationalize defined roles and responsibilities, both internally and across ICS and appropriate partner teams.
  • Advise Cloud Security Leader and ICS leadership on issues with impact to the security of the WF cloud computing environment.


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 10+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of information security architecture, design, and consulting experience
  • 5+ years of technical experience with Cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or MS Azure
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide cloud information technology solutions
  • 2+ years of Kubernetes experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience securing IaaS/PaaS private and public cloud
  • Experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
  • Design consultation experience at the highest technical level: planning, integration, implementation, scalability, and problem definition
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
  • Ability to manage initiatives related to the following: security architecture/technology roadmap that aligns with business strategy and the broader security architecture; technology planning and rationalization; related emerging technology assessment and incubation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution
  • Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships across organizational boundaries and levels, particularly senior management
  • Strong ability to manage and lead through ambiguity
  • Familiarity with of various cloud security and related risk frameworks (COBIT, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), FedRAMP, etc.)
  • Cloud security certification such as Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Cloud Computing Architect (CCA)
  • Professional Cloud Certification(s) from Cloud Security Alliance, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or equivalent industry-standard / professional organizations
  • Knowledge and understanding of 12-factor/Cloud Native development, Infrastructure as Code, Grid computing / Elastic compute


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Annual
