Job Summary

Under close supervision, provide direct benchtop services support at customer facilities. Execute routine laboratory support procedures and preparations (e.g. media/buffer prep, solvent/reagent mixtures, filtrations, material weighing, some physical testing, witness senior staff experiments). Maintain lab inventory and labeling (e.g. chemical reagents, glassware, gas cylinder levels). Verification/maintenance of laboratory equipment (e.g. balances, pH meters, sonicator cleaning, glass washing).
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Associates follow all current customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), Job Aids(JOB) in respect to any form of testing or compliance withstanding current lab standard
  • Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order - this includes daily checks, calibrations, and cleaning of scales and pH meters
  • Maintain expired and non-expired chemicals/buffers/reagents/samples by discarding in the proper manner
  • Setting and Cleaning of dissolution baths
  • Requests work orders and implements "good saves," and Avantor Stop for Safety requirements when necessary
  • Assists cell leads and analysts with projects for stability programs
  • Assists analysts with various stages of testing, such as witness, etc.
  • Maintains lab integrity through daily to weekly walkthrough by sustaining cleanliness and efficiency of equipment and instruments
  • Assists with Monthly inventory of reference standards
  • Preparation with audit readiness
  • Makes computer data entries/manual log entries as needed regarding equipment checks
  • Check waste and empty if containers are full
  • Complete all training as assigned
  • Glass wash duties - pick, up, wash, dry and return lab glassware as needed
  • Weekly eyewash checks and log in lab notebook


QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years experience in a laboratory setting and understanding of laboratory equipment
  • Previous experience working in a GMP facility a plus

  • Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
  • Will need to be able to safely lift up to 50lbs

  • Will need to be able to work independently


Must have the ability to understand, read, and write technical information.

Jobs hours will be 5:30am to 2pm M-F.
