Job Description
The Senior Manager of Data Protection Services (DPS) Operations is a critical member of the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) organization. This individual is responsible for all aspects of data protection operations supporting the colleague and contractor workforce with a primary focus on running daily operations for data loss prevention, web proxy, CASB, encryption, cloud, and other network or agent-based data security platforms.

The Senior Manager will work closely with the DPS leadership team to define strategic vision and roadmaps across DPS services and technology, foster a culture of innovation to enable secure business solutions, drive operational excellence, optimize operating costs through technology rationalization and standardization and drive workforce strategy with an emphasis on talent development and retention.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the continuous development and oversight of the data security operations program.
• Accomplishes department objectives by leading staff and providing coaching and feedback relative to staff’s performance against objectives and work managed.
• Drive planning, prioritizing, and fulfilling of data security operations to protect unstructured and structured data in hybrid environments.
• Track and maintain health, coverage, performance, currency, and effectiveness of data security platforms.
• Collaborate with data security teams, Business and IT partners on risk mitigation and continuous improvement strategies.
• Manage relationship with third-party vendors that provide data security technologies, services, and resources.
• Develop and maintain internal documentation such as job-aids, procedures and runbooks to support the operations of data security controls across the enterprise.
• Define, develop, automate, and communicate data protection performance metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and related reports.
• Manage and coordinate data protection audit, compliance, regulatory, client assurance, and third-party assessment projects.
• Oversight of data security findings and remediation plans, tracking progress and help coordinate cross functional interactions.
• Lead data protection change management, knowledge base, awareness and communication for enterprise-wide programs.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 115,000
Maximum: 230,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of steady career progression with information security work experience
• 5+ years of Data Protection operations experience, including data classification, DLP, insider risk, encryption, web content filtering and CASB
• 5+ years of recent personnel management experience (oversight of 8+ direct reports)
• 5+ years of experience identifying security risk within technology implementations
• 5+ years of experience leading control testing and communicating results
• 5+ years of experience with security controls alignment to key regulations like NIST, FIPS 140-2, ISO, HITRUST, HIPAA, PCI, CPRA, GDPR
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of public cloud concepts, preferably AWS, Azure & GCP
• Knowledge of SASE, Zero Trust and Conditional Access frameworks and architecture
• Security Risk Analysis Procedures & Best Practices
• Continuous learner well informed on technology trends, methodologies, and models.
• Ability to manage a high degree of complexity and distill information that provides clear direction.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on mobilizing the organization to deliver the strategy.
• Ability to motivate others with high expectations to facilitate impact and pace of change.
• Agility to deal with a constantly changing business environments.
• Comfortable operating within areas of ambiguity to iterate and make progress in a consistent manner.
• Drive change across an organization while building a strong morale and culture.
• Fosters collaborative decision-making processes that deliver results and exceed expectations.
• Experience in a healthcare or critical infrastructure industry related environment.

Bachelor's Degree Required
Master's Degree Preferred
