About this role:

Well Fargo is seeking a dynamic Full Stack Java engineer to join Operational Risk technology group, which supports the banks risk and control programs. Person joining the role will be responsible for developing and managing the integrated technical framework that supports the operational risk ecosystem.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience developing in Java
  • 4+ years of experience in Spring Boot, Spring Framework
  • 3+ years' experience in REST API development
  • 2+ years in experience Hibernate JPA and Spring data experience.
  • Good understanding of multi-threaded development/design.


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of working in Fin-tech
  • 2+ years of working in Risk Applications
  • Ability to understand requirements and convert them into meaningful system flows
  • Previous experiences with Archer, Service Now applications

  • Manage applications that support risk and control self-assessment
  • Daily basis connect with stakeholders and business partners to understand and flesh out business requirements
  • Connect with cross-functional tech partners
  • Proficiency and understanding of Agile Scrum and Project management
