Position Summary

Drive new accounts for the Kroger REWARDS World MasterCard credit card by explaining the credit card's benefits and assisting customers through the application process. Meet defined sales goals through participation in selling events in the store, fuel centers or other external sites. Travel within the division to complete selling events. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions
  • Travel frequently to multiple store locations within the division to engage customers on the Kroger REWARDS World MasterCard product features and benefits, and sign them up for the credit card by processing their application in store or on location at other selling events
  • Understand and follow all legal and regulatory compliance regulations regarding credit card acquisition
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of the Kroger REWARDS World MasterCard credit card and respond to questions about the product
  • Achieve sales goals by submitting customer applications the same day through the appropriate channel
  • Participate in special in-store or external sales events to market the credit card
  • Prepare for and present at meetings and training events as needed
  • Conduct training and coach new selling champions as needed
  • Maintain awareness of competitors' credit card offerings and provide feedback to the division Customer Experience and Financial Products Manager
  • Arrange and display merchandise effectively
  • Take stock of inventory; requisition new stock
  • Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with store and division leadership teams
  • Create a Customer 1st environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products and services sold throughout the store

  • Minimum Position Qualifications
  • 1 year sales and/or retail customer service experience
  • Proficient computer/iPad skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Willingness to accept new business challenges and embrace new ideas
  • Ability to balance persistence within the parameters of the Customer 1st strategy
  • Professional demeanor
  • Reliable transportation to different store locations daily
  • Ability to prepare for and present at meetings and training events
