Purpose and Essential Duties
The Helper will do many basic tasks that require physical labor on large commercial mechanical and plumbing construction sites. Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • General construction clean up
  • Assist in material distribution
  • Assist mechanics installing HVAC and Plumbing
  • Learn code requirements
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment and attend safety meetings
  • Load and unload building materials to be used in construction
  • Operate or tend equipment and machines used
  • Follow construction plans and instructions
This position is Full Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Plumber & Foreman.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate on all levels
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Must have adequate / reliable transportation to the jobsite daily
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred
  • Plumbing & mechanical experience is a plus
Travel Requirements
  • Infrequent travel to Company or client locations. Approximately 10% of time will be spent traveling.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements

Essential
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist. Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely.
