Purpose and Essential Duties

The Plumbing Designer I will design structures, products, components, or assemblies using engineering and architectural principles.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Works closely with project managers to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects.
  • Works closely with creative team to ensure successful execution of goals of all assigned projects.
  • Influences stylistic direction for projects.
  • Delivers concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines.
  • Contributes to all areas of the creative process and department.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Engineering Director.

  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

  • Bachelor's degree
Travel Requirements
  • Travel shall be required on occasion depending on project need and location. The travel commitment is estimated to be around 5% - 10% of regular work schedule per month.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Shall require long periods of sitting or standing at a desk in front of a computer in the office environment.
  • The office environment is usually quiet.
  • Shall require the ability to walk, climb and crawl on a project construction site on occasions.
  • May be exposed to inclement weather.
