HOW AN ETL AND MDM SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Utilizing a combination of SQL and a MDM tool to match and merge incoming source data based on various criteria, apply trust rules, and create a golden record
  • Performing ETL from staging tables (which are populated by the DQ tool and SQL) to base object tables, bases on the configured columns for each attribute
  • Performing match and merge rules on various criteria to join the systems and establish single unique golden record for each row of data
  • Perform result validation through SQL scripts
  • Apply various trust rules, per system, in order to accept best version of truth for each attribute that contributes to the golden record
  • Has the ability to identify exceptions, apply match and merge rules automatically, and queue records for manual review
  • Ability to create a full view of golden records and has API abilities to access the golden records
  • Scheduling the above listed tasks for automation purposes

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Education:
  • BA/BS or equivalent, Bachelor's degree is preferred

Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of professional experience

Security Clearance Level:
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 10 years' work experience in the following:
    • Experience with Linux and Informatica product(s)
    • Strong database experience in any or all of - Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, DB2
    • Strong in Informatica ETL coding, shell scripting and have Linux/RedHat experience
    • Exposure in installing Informatica or other off the shelf products
    • Ability to research tool and platform related problems and document /articulate appropriate resolutions
  • Technical skills to extract and transform various types of data, and ability to profile and analyze the data to determine patterns, inconsistencies, column characteristics, and knowledge to apply transformation functions and map the data to appropriate staging tables
  • Capability to create various scheduling jobs to automate the above processes, and ability to use API software (such as SoapUI) to perform various commands to manipulate and correct data discrepancies, and be able to condition the data to the real world scenarios

Desired Skill:
  • Experience in any or all of the following is a plus - Spark, Map Reduce, Hive, Scala, Cassandra and other open-source technologies

The likely salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
