The Systems Analysis job participates in the designing of information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Working under general supervision, this job is responsible for analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system and preparing the design of possible systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Defines system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Prepares flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Prepares technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
  • Analyzes and proposes revisions to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
  • Assists in the development of training sessions and demos for end users.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.

Job Descritpion : IT Analysts work as liaisons among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

  • Accurate translation of business needs into requirements that are understood by all stakeholders (within both technology and business)
  • Achieve consensus across stakeholders by driving clarity around needs, findings, gaps and mitigation measures
  • Define, validate and deliver solutions that meet business needs/goals/objectives/budget
  • Establish excellent communications across stakeholder domains


  • Identify, plan, conduct, and complete analysis of complex functional issues to be solved through business process changes and changes within information systems.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of various business processes and functions and technical expertise to accurately anticipate organizational impacts.
  • Facilitate business and functional requirements gathering and definition in various formats, including joint collaboration\grooming sessions with business and IT, targeted Q&A sessions with multiple Subject Mater Experts, and one-on-one user interviews in order to provide solutions that meet business and user needs.
  • Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications.
  • Negotiate deliverables by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Analyze business partner operations to understand their strengths / weaknesses and determine opportunities to improve / automate processes and functions.
  • Follow SDLC and project management life cycle best practices, comply with internal Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other compliance related processes and adhere to Change Control and Problem Management procedures.
  • Experience in gathering and analyzing requirements and tracking content deliverables and gaps for Enterprise level digital applications.
  • Serve as functional SME for soliciting requirements from the business\Product Owners. Experience in both documenting business and functional requirements. Assisting the development team with clarifications around design.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
  • Experience in Financial services working in an a Agile environment
  • Experience working in a distributed enterprise environment and developing business requirements.
  • Experience using requirements management tools (e.g. Rational Team Concert & Rational Requirements Composer, JIRA, Requisite Pro, Caliber etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration and/or other related fields).
  • Familiarity with Financial Services concepts and Investment Management Products
  • Familiarity with Advisory and Educational, Financial Planning Software
  • IT product development and program experience.
  • Ability to follow SDLC process.
  • Solid understanding of IT and its alignment with business processes.

Base Pay Range: $64,400/yr. - $107,300/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
