Mirmont Outpatient Center in Exton is looking for a full-time afternoon/evening therapist for our Substance Use program. This therapist will provide diagnostic assessments, group therapy, and individual therapy services to adults who have a substance use diagnosis.  Mirmont operates using a collaborative team approach, which is made up of licensed and non-licensed therapists, psychiatrists, CRNPs, nursing staff, and clinical supervisors.  There are also opportunities for program development and career advancement.

  • 1. Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of patient need to ensure proper level of care and timely delivery of services.
  • 2. Provide individual, group, and family sessions in compliance with state regulations and department policy and procedures.
  • 3. Deliver psycho-educational lectures and workshops to patients/ and or family members.
  • 4. Provide effective and timely case management including communication with patient, families, internal departments and external agencies regarding patient progress in treatment.
  • 5. Maintain documentation according to policy and procedures of the department.
  • 6. Demonstrate commitment to best practices through use of best practices behaviors and participation in ongoing education and trainings to enhance clinical skills.
  • 7. Maintain compliance with federal, state, MLH and department confidentiality standards.
  • 8. Takes responsibility for providing superior patient experience.
  • 9. Contributes to a positive working environment through collaborative teamwork with colleagues, supervisors, and external referral sources.

Shift: Afternoons & Evenings  (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 12noon- 9:30 pm, Wednesdays 12noon-8:00 pm, Fridays flexible)

Experience:

  • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment standards. Previous substance abuse treatment experience is required.

  • Emergency psychiatric and/or acute psychiatric experience preferred


Education:

  • Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or other related field required.


Licensures/Certifications:

  • Pennsylvania Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor
